Summary of Disaster:

 

 “The storms and flooding resulted in about 13.1 million dollars of property damage,” according to the emergency manager during the research interview.  “There were a total of 1,800 homes that were flooded. Out of those 1,800 homes, 78 were classified as destroyed which means that the water was over the rooftop and not salvageable. Then the rest of the homes had anywhere from 2-3 inches to 2-3 feet of water.” All of this was due to Tropical Storm Allison. 

 

Reported Injuries, Deaths, and Rescue at the Site:

 

According to the emergency, “One person was killed, 42 people were rescued, and no reported injuries.”
