Summary of Disaster:
“Wildfires claimed 25 structures at a cost of $3 million during this disaster,” according to the emergency manager during the research interview. He noted that the aftermath problems, several months later, included debris flows caused by the intense heat and burning out of the rooting system of the vegetation. Erosion then took place and caused debris flows that blocked and damaged roads, bridges, and caused other damage.
Reported Injuries, Deaths, and Rescue at the Site:
According to the county emergency manager, approximately 250 persons were evacuated due to the wildfires. It was not known if any of the people evacuated had a mobility impairment. Site Demographics:
